Endoparasite Worms In Lizard (Eutropis multifasciata) around IPB Dramaga Campus and Salak Endah Mount

Abstract:
Worm symbionts, inhabitant in gastrointestinal tract of animal need studied for building a database of symbion fauna. The objective of this research was identifying the worms in the gastrointestinal tract of lizard Eutropis multifasciata, which lives around IPB Campus Dramaga and Salak Endah Mount. Worm dehydrated and stained by eosin for microscopic observation. Lizard more found in the Salak Endah Mount (66.67%) than in the IPB Campus Dramaga (30%). The endoparasite worm were mostly found in large intestine (46.8%), in cloaca (31.6%), small intestinal (16.5%), and stomach (5%) respectively. The worms belong to four families, that are Davaineidae (46.8%), Tetrarhynchobothriidae (36.0%), Trichostrongyloidae (15.8%), and Rhabditidae (1.4%).
