Abstrak:
Kucing domestik (Felis domesticus) merupakan hewan peliharaan hasil domestikasi dari F. silvestris dan F. lybica yang telah didomestikasi sejak zaman Mesir kuno, yaitu 3000-4000 tahun lalu. Penelitian ini bertujuan menduga keragaman kucing di wilayah Jakarta Timur berdasarkan karakter morfologi yang diekspresikan oleh 11 lokus yaitu  w~W, A~a, B~b~b(1), C~c(b)~c(s)~c(a)~c, D~d, i~I, L~l, o~O, s~S, T(a)~T~t(b), dan m~M. Nilai frequensi alel dari setiap lokus dihitung menggunakan metode square-root dan maximum likelihood. Keragaman kucing di Jakarta Timur dapat dilihat berdasarkan nilai heterozigositas (h) dan heterzigositas rataan (H). Berdasarkan 2084 individu kucing yang ada di 10 kecamatan di Jakarta Timur, ditemukan alel-alel baru, yaitu c(b), c(s), c(a), c. Sebagian besar alel tipe liar memiliki nilai frekuensi yang lebih tinggi daripada alel mutan, kecuali lokus A~a dan s~S. Nilai h untuk lokus w~W = 1.2%, lokus A~a=48.1%, lokus B~b~b(1)=50.9%, lokus C~c(b)~c(s)~c(a)~c=24.6%, lokus D~d=27.3%, lokus i~I=16.8%, lokus L~l=18.8%, lokus o~O=43.2%, lokus s~S=49.9%, lokus T(a)~T~t(b)=42.2% dan lokus m~M=49%. Lokus B~b~b(1) memiliki nilai h tertinggi, menunjukkan bahwa kucing memiliki alel tersebut tersebar luas dan terjadi aliran gen melalui perkawinan acak. Nilai H di Jakarta Timur berdasarkan 11 lokus yang diamati sebesar 31.8%. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan keragaman kucing di Jakarta Timur dibandingkan dengan penelitian Nozawa et al. (1983) yaitu sebesar 27.6%. Dalam kurun waktu 25 tahun telah terjadi peningkatan keragaman kucing sebesar 4.2% yang mungkin disebabkan oleh masuknya alel-alel baru dari kucing non lokal.
Abstract:
Doestic cat (Felis domesticus) is a domestication product of F. silvestris and F. lybica. This domestication occured in ancient Egypt about 3000-4000 years ago. This research aims to estimate genetic diversity of cats around East Jakarta based on morphological characters expresed by 11 loci (w~W, A~a, B~b~b(1), C~c(b)~c(s)~c(a)~c, D~d, i~I, L~l, o~O, s~S, T(a)~T~t(b), and m~M). Allele frequency of each locus measured by square-root and maximum likelihood methods. Cats divrsity in East Jakarta were represented by the value of heterozigosity (h) and average heterozigosity (H). Four new alleles (c(b), c(s), c(a), and c) were found in 2084 samples.Those are collected in 10 districts in East Jakarta. Mostly wild type allele revealed higher frquency than mutant type allele, except A~a and s~S locus. Heterozigosity (h) value of w~W = 1.2%, A~a=48.1%, B~b~b(1)=50.9%, C~c(b)~c(s)~c(a)~c=24.6%, D~d=27.3%, i~I=16.8%, L~l=18.8%, o~O=43.2%, s~S=49.9%, T(a)~T~t(b)=42.2% and m~M=49%. B~b~b(1) locus showed the biggest heterozigosity value (h). It means that the cats having the allele were widely spread and there was gene flow through random mating. Based on observation of 11 locus, there was 31.8% of average heterozigosity value. The obtained result revealed that there is an increasing diversity of domestic cats in East Jakarta compared with Nozawa et al. (1983) who found 27.6% of average heterozigosity value. Cats diversity has been increased 4.2% in 25 years. It might be due to allele migrations of feral cats.
